Enterprise Sales Enablement Optimization – A Strategic Case Study

Project Summary: Interns will operate as part of a simulated consulting team within Panoramic Solutions Management (PSM), tasked with creating a focused internal case study centered on  sales team readiness —a core aspect of sales enablement. This project is inspired by challenges encountered with a client and is designed to simulate a real consulting engagement in a controlled, educational setting. Rather than addressing all aspects of enterprise sales enablement, interns will concentrate on  auditing sales training tools, communication flow, and performance tracking mechanisms , allowing for deeper learning and manageable deliverables. The final outputs will contribute to PSM's internal content library and be adapted for use in future marketing and client presentations. Project Objectives: Simulate a narrowed, realistic client consulting scenario. Focus deeply on the theme of sales readiness and internal team optimization. Create focused deliverables that showcase analysis, strategy, and communication design. Provide students with real-world consulting process exposure while reinforcing discipline-specific skills. Timeline: Duration:  12 weeks Week - Focus - Area - Deliverables 1 Project Kickoff + Overview - Intern briefing, Q&A, project outline 2–3 Industry + Client-Simulated Research - Benchmark report: tools & trends in sales team readiness 4–5 Stakeholder Personas + Journey Map - Define key sales roles, challenges, and readiness blockers 6–7 Communication + Training Audit Framework - Lightweight template for evaluating sales team content & tools 8–9 Strategy Slide Deck - Recommendations to optimize sales readiness and internal enablement 10 ROI Overview (Basic) - Simple success metric framework (3–5 key KPIs with justifications) 11 Finalize All Deliverables - Editing, design, summary, prep presentation 12 Presentation + Feedback Intern team presentation and reflection session Skills Developed: Research and benchmarking Stakeholder analysis Strategic thinking (within a defined scope) Basic KPI planning Consulting-style communication and presentation Supervision & Check-ins: Weekly 30-min sync with PSM project lead Checkpoints at Week 4, Week 8, and Week 12 for milestone reviews Optional mid-semester feedback session from PSM leadership
