Digital Operations Management for Regenesis Free Store
The Regenesis Free Store aims to promote sustainability by encouraging the reuse of goods within the community. However, managing donations, maintaining an accurate online inventory, and engaging the community through virtual outreach are challenging tasks. The goal of this project is to streamline the digital operations of the Free Store. This involves organising incoming donations, creating and maintaining a user-friendly online inventory system, and developing targeted virtual outreach strategies to foster community engagement. By improving these digital operations, the Free Store can more effectively promote sustainability and ensure that goods are reused rather than discarded. Key tasks include: - Organizing and categorising incoming donations. - Developing and maintaining an online inventory system. - Creating virtual outreach strategies to engage the community.

We are looking for assistance in organizing a referendum campaign in support of our mission of empowering students as initiators of change in addressing today’s social and environmental concerns. We believe this project will include: Participating in campaigning training and campaigning during referendum dates Putting together research via our database for lecture schedules Delivering lecture announcements to classrooms about Regenesis, who we are, what we do, and why to vote yes for us Distribute leaflets, stickers, and other materials to students Attending tabling events to share with people more information about Regenesis, how to get involved and to vote for us
Circular Economy Initiatives & Events (Fall 2023)
The primary goal for this role is to lead and oversee the implementation of three key circular economy initiatives within our Reuse Centre: Free Store, Borrowing Centre, and Repair Café. These initiatives aim to eliminate wasteful practices, promote the principles of the circular economy, and contribute to a more sustainable and resource-efficient future. Additionally, the role involves marketing and organizing events to enhance awareness and participation in these initiatives.
Food Justice & Food Sustainability (Fall 2023)
Regenesis TMU is a dynamic environment organization that implements community projects that support environmental sustainability and social justice at Toronto Metropolitan University. We currently operate a number of environmental initiatives on campus, including the Mutual Market, a weekly market that offers a variety of good, healthy and sustainably produced sweet and savory foods and condiments; as well as arts & craft items made by students on campus. The goals of the Regenesis Mutual Market is to enhance food accessibility and promote sustainability that is environmentally and socially just.
Chapter Development (Fall 2023)
The primary goal is to develop local chapters by organizing meetings, networking with activists, creating promotional materials, and maintaining a website with support from the main organization. This includes initiating and overseeing local initiatives, promoting community engagement, and ensuring regular communication with the main organization. Collaboration with the main organization is essential, especially in identifying potential funding sources, all aimed at advancing Regenesis' mission.
Non-Profit Grant Writing & Donor Outreach
We are looking for assistance in finding and completing grant applications and organizing a referendum campaign in support of our mission of empowering students as initiators of change in addressing today’s social and environmental concerns. We believe this project will include: Identify potential sponsors and funding opportunities that are a good fit for our organization and project. Interpret a request for proposal (RFP). Research into other grant opportunities and levies to support our cause. Assist with referendum campaign organizing. Compile a comprehensive database of donors Attend networking events to solicit donors Assist with charitable status application
