The Door has just been patented and there are many IoT devices, creative patterns, user friendly APPs, insulation and useful utilities added to these doors. Prime target market is residential entrance doors but there are many more interior, commercial and institutional door applications for the DFP.

Door Face App UX/UI Enhancement Project

The primary objective of this project is to enhance the User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design of the Door Face App, ensuring a seamless and visually engaging interaction for users interacting with the Door Face Panels. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: - Understanding the current UX/UI design of the Door Face App and identifying areas for improvement. - Conducting user research and gathering feedback to understand user preferences and pain points. - Creating wireframes and prototypes for the enhanced UX/UI design. - Collaborating with the development team to implement the new design and ensure compatibility with the Door Face Panels' features and functionalities. - Testing the new design with users and iterating based on feedback.

Working with Armin Ghauforian on the Cybersecurity System for Door Face Panels project during the Winter 2025 Cybersecurity Training and Work Integrated Learning Program has been a pleasure. Armin is very approachable, understanding, and always willing to explain the details of the project, especially how the door face panel system works and what smart doors can do. As a first-time student, I appreciated his patience in making sure I understood the project concepts, and he was always there to offer support and guidance when needed, which made the learning process much smoother and more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience working with him, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from someone so knowledgeable, patient and supportive.
