Write the legacy of an older adult for his/her memory book

Tellegacy's mission is to help keep older adults connected and capture some of their favorite memories through guided, virtual conversations. Interns know as Legacy Builders are matched with older adults living in assisted living facilities. Over the course of 10 weeks, the Legacy Builder will take notes on the stories shared by the Legacy Holder. As a Legacy Writer, you will take the notes and craft them into wonderful memories. These texts will be added to memory books along with photos - the books are called Legacy Books. At the end of the project, the older adult will receive a hardcover book to treasure and pass down to future generations. This project is an opportunity to memorialize precious memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Book Graphic Design for legacy photo books for older adults

Tellegacy engages interns and volunteers to host virtual, guided conversations with older adults who are living in specialized residences. These conversations have 2 goals: 1. Help keep older adults (Legacy Holders) connected so that they don't feel alone, and 2. Capture the older adults' stories to put in a Legacy Book that is mailed to the residence for the Legacy Holders to enjoy and pass down to their families. This is an opportunity to use and grow your design skills. Our Legacy Coaches will provide you with a sample layout to use as a guide to create the books. You will integrate the text and photos on each of the pages in a pleasing, easy to read format. The pages will be sent to a printer for production and then mailed to the Legacy Holders. This semester, we expect to create at least 80 Legacy Books, each with their own content.
