The goal of this project is to optimize the website's speed and reliability by analyzing current performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing effective solutions. Learners will apply their knowledge of web development and optimization techniques to address these issues. The project will involve tasks such as code optimization, image compression, and server configuration adjustments. By the end of the project, the website should load faster and operate more smoothly, providing a seamless experience for users.

We are a local uniform store carrying a wide variety of different brands specifically targeting health care workers, students, food and hospitality industry personnel. *We are currently in need of Webmasters with strong graphics background who will be able to create a customized E-commerce live website for us that will enable our customers to easily shop online. *A website has been running created using the Shopify platform and needs fresh content updates. *There will be over a hundred thousand images to be imported from a system file and there will be a few hundreds to be done manually. Product description, size charts, pricing and content is included in the system. *Plan/Implement strategies for better SEO presence. *Do Theme updates and a strong Graphics background is required. *We want developers that are trustworthy--we can create a long-term relationship as we progress and maintain our product lines.

When we ventured into the uniform business a decade ago. There is only one premise that remains true until today that uniforms remain a necessity. Even surviving a pandemic there is still a need to be protected by some sort of a covering when you go to work. The chefs and waiters need to be identified for hygiene and safety etc. Ever since, we struggle to make assumptions on what makes this category tick. We know retail business is tough and not for everyone... but how to scale the business to the new heights when we know there is a big market for it. Why does no one seem to really stand out in this industry? What makes Cintas and other big players just focus on the institutional clients? This is where we try to investigate why the Canadian uniform retail landscape is not as strong as the US counterparts, that are organized and have a formal industry association like Uniform Retail Association (URA). The research should also focus its effort not only the in-store, brick and mortar approach but primarily the online with the 2 main areas: 1. How to come up with the right digital strategy to grow / convert and take a national approach selling uniforms online - there are a lot of key players locally here and there... like one in Alberta, Ottawa etc. but no one really stands out in this industry, online... that no one is really positioned to be the "Amazon" in this sector - but being in this business long enough and with the new protocols in place because of the pandemic it just proves us that there is a big demand for uniforms as part of the PPE's. This is where we need your help on how to come up with the right approach to sell scrubs, labcoats, psw uniforms etc. as widely as possible. 2. Formulate online marketing strategy to support the plans - I believe this is where we can tap the support of the students in the marketing to develop their digital and social media marketing skills. We are inspired by the transformation and the success of Well.ca - they are not as big as Shoppers Drugmart but they are doing well online. * Student/teams must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement
