Digital Content Creation

We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. VisaWire is an immigration, employment and settlement guide for relocating to Canada. We're a team of immigrants building a platform to help immigrants find opportunities to take the next in their journey by providing them with relevant information, resources, and employment opportunities. On the other end of our immigration marketplace, we have Canadian tech employers and immigration consultants that are interested in hiring and working with the skilled talent coming in through VisaWire. We're currently a team of a founder, Head of Business Development and two students from the University of Waterloo assisting with market research. At its current stage, VisaWire is looking to educate its potential users about the benefits of moving to and finding employment in Canada as a part of our go-to market strategy. In order to accomplish this, we're looking to provide a regular stream of written and visual content to our users focused on successful immigration stories, relevant immigration and employment statistics, and Canadian tech sector and job opportunity related news. The founder of VisaWire is currently in charge of the immigration stories and will be regularly posting podcast content through LinkedIn. However, VisaWire needs help with creating content (blog posts and visuals) around statistics and news on a weekly basis and posting it on relevant platforms including Instagram and Facebook. Ideally, both the LinkedIn content and blog posts will be used by the VisaWire team for the Twitter account as well. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will:Turn podcast episodes into quotes and social media posts (using tools such as Canva)Write blog articles, infographics, and other content pieces on assigned topicsAssist with a social media content creation (primarily content for Twitter) to promote our organizationEvaluate recent successful user-generated campaigns, preferably in our sector (Canadian immigration, employment in tech)BONUS: Identify valid, useful resources and general sources of verified information that can be shared with VisaWire communityUltimately, you will be working on research and content creation for our organization, including visual, social media, and other collateral that we can use as go-to marketing tools. If you like the sound of our culture, and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you.A student or team with excellent writing and visual content creation skills would be the ideal candidate for this project.
