Website Evaluation & Reorganization
Our website has been effective for our non-profit organization for a number of years. We have another site (bcbuylocal.com) for our digital campaigns. As we have shifted into more of a reearch-based organization, our current site is poorly designed in terms of content and organization and requires updating. The connection between our two sites also needs to be enhanced, without duplication. We would like to collaborate with students to evaluate our website, make recommendations for improvement and implement the changes. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with the current structure of our website and our companyβs products, target market, mission and vision statements. Conducting background research on factors that affect the quality of websites. Developing a set of criteria to evaluate our web pages and justifying the importance of each criterion, including Search Engine Optimization. Evaluating our web pages based on the established criteria. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending areas for improvement on our website. Implementing changes to web pages. Implementing changes to site's images.

Local Impact Measurement and Promotion Tools
In response to the growing "buy Canada" movement, LOCO BC aims to enhance its leadership in promoting local businesses. The project focuses on developing tools that enable businesses to measure and showcase their local economic impact. By doing so, businesses can better communicate their contributions to the local economy, thereby attracting more consumers who are eager to support local enterprises. The project will also work on improving the connection between consumers and local suppliers, making it easier for consumers to find and support local businesses. The goal is to create a user-friendly toolkit that businesses can use to assess and promote their local impact, ultimately strengthening the local economy and fostering community support. This project provides an opportunity for learners to apply their knowledge in business analytics, marketing, and software development.
