Website Analysis/UX Experience
Positions available: One to two individual students We are completing a new website for our organization. We aren’t sure how effective it will be. We would like to work with students to analyze and improve our website from the user experience perspective. We would like to ensure our website is user friendly and leads to purchases. We are also interested in whether users have a positive experience on our site and what improvements students might recommend. We have considered adding ecommerce to allow clients to purchase directly from our website and would love to gain insights from the students as to whether or not this makes sense for us. Industry, student, and faculty perspectives are very welcomed and we are also looking for whether or not creating some virtual service delivery platform on our website makes sense. We would LOVE to get some help in these areas for our small, woman owned Appalachian Ohio based business.
React Web app to generate workout
Positions available: one team of three students The goal of this project is to PLAY a workout that is designed by our certified personal trainers. The personal trainer assess a person and design a workout that meet's trainee's need. The designed workout is consist of the following information: How long is the whole workout what are the exercises to be done and how many repetitions, sets, and duration of each. determines the rest time between workouts The video of corresponding exercise which will be played in the web application. Given a workout routine above, we require a react web application to generate the workout that stitches the videos together that can be used by trainees to follow the workout routine. User will play a given workout, then the web application plays with the first exercise for that given period and so on. The user can skip a exercise or pause the workout. Each workout exercise comes with a short video, time, number of sets. When user starts the workout, the web app plays videos of workout routines in a loop until the time of exercise is finished then it pauses the workout for X seconds and starts the next video again. This will be done for all the workouts until the routine is finished. This project is a sub-project of mobile app we are developing that takes holistic gamified approach to exercising at home.
UX/UI Design

Outcomes Your challenge submission can be an interactive mockup, flat wireframes, a functional website, a photoshop file - whatever gets your vision across. Please feel free to be creative and depart from the design of the rest of the site if you choose, but submissions that take into consideration our branding will be assessed more favourably.
SEO & Social Media Marketing

Our goal is that we provide an excellent user experience, with easy-to-follow steps and that our branding is consistent throughout the website. We would like students to evaluate the effectiveness and usability of our website to identify ways to improve the user journey, incentivize our desired outcomes, and increase user satisfaction as well as develop a new and improved website. Web-Application for educational tools – Phase 1
Positions available: 4 We would like to invite a team of students to work on a project that is partially developed using React, MongoDB, and Meteor Js framework. The project is composed of several phases. This is project is composed of several educational tools. We are working on developing an application to allow instructors to create different types of questions, create versions of each question, and save them in a test bank. Instructors can create courses, sections, and assignments. They can assign the assignments to specific sections indicating the start and end date. They can update the assignments as well. The application is expected to self-correct the students' submissions and display the marks, student's answers and the correct answer to both the students and the instructors. It is expected that we will need a registration process for both the student, the instructor and an administrator. Students should: Have good experience in React, MongoDB, and Meteor Js. Good understanding of Docker. Be ready to work in a team. Ability to work in a team, prepare documentation and be good at communication. Will be required to sign an Intellectual Property Rights Agreement. Ready to present previous work that they have done. Scope of phase 1: Understanding the previous code and fixing some bugs in the current Excel application.
Web-Application for educational tools – Phase 1 - UI
Positions available: 1 We would like to invite a student who has experience in UX/UI and building web interfaces using Adobe XD or Figma. This is project is composed of several educational tools. We have developed some applications in this project and more are to be developed. It includes dashboards, grade roster, student and an instructor interface. Currently, we will need to enhance the interface for the whole portal and create new screens. Students should: Have good experience in UX/UI and building web interfaces using Adobe XD or Figma. Experienced in graphic design. Ability to work in a team, prepare documentation and good in communication. Will be required to sign an Intellectual Property Rights Agreement. Ready to present previous work that they have done.
New Product Design: Prototype
Studentboard is creating a comprehensive platform to build, sell, and teach courses, and collaborate globally. The student(s) will research and develop a prototype, focusing on various products. We believe this project will require: Researching existing products and functions (simple, easy to use, minimizing clicks and pages). Developing a prototype of a recommended product design by completing UX and UI work. Figma will be the main prototyping tool used due to easy accessibility and collaboration ability. The final deliverables include: A prototype of the recommended design for a product. As the platform will have many moving parts, we will work with the student(s) in week one and two to identify a project outline based on contract length and time commitment. Potential products fall under five main modules including the following: Instructor and institution user profile: includes introduction page, course builder, enrolment management, and teaching tools Student profile: introduction profile (to add skills, education, interests etc.), and a place to enrol in and pay for courses, and learn. Landing page and Marketplace: Students search for courses, institutions, or instructors using basic search bar, filtering, and finding promoting courses. Peer to peer collaboration tool Four modules will be broken down into sub-tools that each student team will focus on based on student availability. Prototyping may occur on Figma or any other chosen software the student/team is interested in using. Studentboard Inc. will pay for appropriate tools required. Level up provides a $1400 stipend to each student: Studentboard seeks students interested in working 60-70 core hours (approximately $20-$23 per hour) with additional hours dedicated to mentorship and team networking. Work will occur on a part time basis and is flexible based on the student's schedule. One to two meetings (maximum of 2-4 hours total per week) will need to be attended for mentorship, team check-ins, and reporting on work progress (included within the 80 hours max). Slack and Zoom will be used to communicate, casual work attire, and students may be located anywhere in Canada (remote work)!

Web Control Panel Design & Development
Our organization is able to offer a virtual internship opportunity for a student or team of students. We at Speedy Snacks would like to add functionality to our back end systems in order to allow us to scale. Current control panel functionality includes product management, location management, and landing page management. We would like to add the ability to manage other processes and content through our web based control panel. The project would require web pages be designed and developed for: Billing - Invoicing Management Sales Performance - Reporting Social Media Content - Launch, Manage, & Report Mapping - visualize existing and prospective locations using Google Maps API Teams may do both design & development or just design or development depending on their abilities & commitment level. Advanced Whatsapp Chatbot Development
We are working with The Pamoja Institute for Community Engagement and Action to add advanced functionality to an existing Whatsapp chatbot. You will have access to the Turn.io API which allows access to the WhatsApp Business API. It's completely aligned with the official WhatsApp Business API. Turn.io documentation provides all the information you need to know about authentication, rate limiting, our extensions, webhooks, and much more. Software Development - Children Online Application
Number of individual positions available: 4 Amidst COVID-19, a lot of opportunities for virtual education opened up. We have been delivering our children mathematic-based training program online over the past two years.
