Hope you've had a wonderful day!
My name is Sophie (she/her). I am a Software Developer based in Toronto, Ontario and I am currently studying Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo. As a Developer with 3+ years of experience through internships, hackathons and projects, I love leveraging technologies to develop products and initiatives that genuinely impact its users (my motto is that technology is best developed with empathy :)). My development process leverages my background in project management, UI/UX research and core technical competencies with full-stack and machine learning. Currently, I'm learning how to apply deep learning and LLMs to create accessible and functional recommender systems for my project Chime (a Tinder-like music discovery and social platform).
I would love the opportunity to explore opportunities that'll allow me to develop not only technically, but professionally!
