Youth Engagement Program Development
The Dane County Juvenile Detention Center seeks to enhance its youth engagement programs by developing a structured, evidence-based curriculum that can be implemented by staff and volunteers. The goal is to create a program that fosters personal growth, emotional resilience, and positive social skills among incarcerated youth. This project will allow learners to apply their knowledge of psychology, education, and social work to design activities and workshops tailored to the needs of the youth. The curriculum should be informed by best practices in juvenile rehabilitation and include input from law enforcement professionals with years of experience. The project will involve researching existing programs, identifying gaps, and proposing innovative solutions that can be realistically implemented within the center's resources.
