I’m incredibly grateful for the experience of working under Shohreh. She was consistently kind and supportive, while also holding us accountable in a way that helped us stay focused and on track. She regularly checked in on our progress, making sure we were aligned with project goals, yet always remained understanding and flexible when we needed a bit of extra time. Working with Shohreh and the Global Cleantech Directory team was an insightful experience. The project allowed me to strengthen my MERN stack skills and understand real-world design considerations. While there were multiple iterations on the design to align with the vision, the process ultimately helped me appreciate the importance of flexibility and adaptability in a client-focused environment. Working with the Global Cleantech Directory team during the June 2025 Advance Ontario cohort was a truly rewarding experience. From day one, the project goals were clearly communicated, and I felt fully supported by the company throughout each development milestone. I had the opportunity to lead the backend development, including database design, follow-up automation, and secure API integration using the MERN stack. The team encouraged collaboration, provided constructive feedback, and respected our ideas, which created a professional and empowering environment. I also appreciated the chance to solve real-world problems that will directly improve the platform’s usability for cleantech stakeholders. This experience helped strengthen my technical skills and gave me valuable insight into working with industry-focused clients.
