Les Passerelles Globale-BRIDGES Educational Support Programme
The main Objective for this project is to develop and manage a holistic success-oriented educational support after school, weekend, and summer school programme for black immigrant youth attending primary and secondary school in Quebec, Canada, and Ghana, West Africa. The programme will focus on language acquisition in French using the means and modalities of performing and visual arts as motivation and self-actualization. Lessen Black youth drop of school.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:- Researching the educational needs of black immigrant youth in Quebec and Ghana.- Developing a curriculum that integrates performing and visual arts into language acquisition.- Organizing after school, weekend, and summer activities to support the educational needs of the youth.- Collaborating with professionals, volunteers, and students to facilitate the programme.- Establishing locations for the programme outside of big metropolitan regions.
Digital Marketing and Blog Writing
The main objective of this project is to equip learners with a comprehensive understanding of digital marketing principles, website evaluation techniques, and effective blog writing strategies. Students will be tasked with evaluating a designated website, critically analyzing its design, functionality, and user flow. This evaluation aims to identify areas of improvement to enhance the overall user experience. Concurrently, students will immerse themselves in the role of content creators, crafting engaging and targeted blog posts tailored to attract the student demographic and the website's intended audience. By the end of the project, students are expected to demonstrate proficiency in assessing digital platforms, implementing SEO strategies, and producing compelling content that not only resonates with the identified target audience but also contributes to the website's overall success. This dual-focused approach integrates practical skills in digital marketing and content creation, providing students with a holistic understanding of how these elements synergize to achieve marketing goals in the online domain.
Members-Only Function Development for WordPress Site
The main goal for the project is to develop a members-only function on the company's WordPress website where members can access exclusive perks such as discussion boards and course materials. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:- Understanding the company's mission and target audience for the members-only function.- Designing and developing the user interface for the members-only section of the website.- Implementing a secure login system for members and ensuring access to exclusive perks.- Creating a discussion board feature for members to engage with each other.- Create a template to help us upload and organize course materials for members to access.
Simulation Research
Our research lab publishes dozens of papers every year to promote projects in our field of research. Among these papers are studies detailing our lab’s findings from simulations that replicate real-world conditions.We would like to collaborate with students to conduct our simulations.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Familiarizing themselves with our research project and objectives.Familiarizing themselves with our simulation and modelling.Running simulations and comparing results to experimental data.Tuning simulation parameters to better match experimental conditions.Reporting the results of simulations.Bonus steps in the process would also include:Researching other simulations and models to compare our simulation against.
