Mentorship Program Design & Development
We are currently in the process of growing our grassroots collective, and have rebranded from Womxn Offering Wisdom to the South Asian & Tamil Women's Collective. We would like a student to help us with developing a culturally responsive mentorship/career development program for young South Asian and Tamil women (ages 15 -25). We have received a small number of funds to develop this program over the year and launch it by spring 2022. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization, and be provided growth and development opportunities. We believe this project will involve: Source sponsors and design care/welcome packages for all program participants [I.e. outreach emails, products, etc.] Support with resource creation for program participants [mentorship program guides, onboarding, curriculum materials, etc.] Students will be provided access to organization information as required, including access to google folder and documents. The primary goal of implementing a mentorship/career development for young South Asian & Tamil women is to support during a time of uncertainty around career pathways/future of work and support overall well-being with a community care approach. We hope to gain an understanding of what components should be included and on implementation strategies.
Athlete Influencer Marketing Internship
Weβre looking for a student to help us develop a network of influencers that can help with our brand recognition and marketing strategies. The role of 80 hours will consist of focusing and outreaching to social media influencers on Instagram that are relevant to football to market and sell our products. We would like students to craft a pitch of why these influencers should work with us to sell and market our products, then pitch it to athletes, coaches, social media influencers etc., with the aim to get coverage. Example: Offer an athlete our product for free for posting on their social media account or offer a small amount of compensation per post. Students can also use Highlight Exposure to find connections to football players to promote and sell our products. You will be asked to keep a google spreadsheet of all influencers youβve reached out to/who we should reach out to for record keeping purposes, and cases where they may follow up after your project ends.
Website Content Creation
We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. We are working on developing our prototype and will be ready to pilot our product by end of May. To coordinate with the launch of our product, we would like to have our website completed at the same time. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Create written content, videos and graphics for our brand new website Produce content that is innovative, on-brand, and engaging Create marketing material for the sales team Ultimately, you will be working on content creation for our website and apps that we can use as go-to marketing tools. If you like the sound of our culture, and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you. A student or team with excellent writing skills would be the ideal candidate for this project.
