Kirk Troen is a veteran, business owner, community volunteer, educator, hard-working taxpayer, and devoted dad.
Kirk proudly served our nation in the United States Marine Corps.Nothing has ever been handed to Kirk. He learned about hard work at an early age. Kirk was the first member of his family to graduate from college. After a semester of juggling a full-time job and school, Kirk enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and went to school on the GI Bill.
Understanding the importance of education, Kirk eventually earned an Associate of Arts degree, a Bachelor of Arts degree, and two Master of Science degrees.After serving our nation, Kirk continued his public service by teaching music in a middle school for 4 years. He was elected to the Prince William County Education Association Board of Directors and served as a teacher mentor.

By mimicking successful campaigns like the ALS bucket challenge and the #BufferCommunity campaign, we hope to leverage social media in an effective and ultra-low-cost campaign, based on user-generated content. To accomplish this, we believe you could focus on: Evaluating recent successful user-generated campaigns, preferably in our industry. Selecting a primary social media channel for our campaign. Developing a campaign plan including theme, hashtag, and messaging. Creating a content calendar and example content for the duration of the campaign. Through this campaign, we hope to increase online engagement and brand awareness and drive sales of our services and destinations.
