Roamlii Adventures - Experiential Scavenger Hunts
Roamlii is a digital command centre, supporting the end-to-end digital needs of small to medium sized Canadian tourism businesses...from Discovery & Promotion , to Lead & Inquiry Management , to Booking & Scheduling . As we evolve our own technology, and leverage strategic integrations, our focus is the holistic support and growth of the Canadian tourism industry. We're the first and only software company to create a powerful operational command centre for tourism businesses, and we aim to become the most useful platform for local and micro-tourism. Existing platforms primarily showcase popular experiences, leaving much of the industry unsupported. Roamlii stands apart by championing and promoting smaller businesses, aiming for inclusivity across the diverse tourism landscape. In a world dominated by financially-driven algorithms and ads, travellers often miss out on lesser-known, but exceptional, experiences. Roamlii seeks to rectify this imbalance by offering a fairer representation, ensuring a broader discovery of brilliant destinations. Roamlii’s mission is to revolutionize the current landscape of tourism platforms, advocating for fairness and a more comprehensive view of available travel experiences, while providing a full suite of promotional and lead management tools for its business partners, and a suite of discovery tools for its travellers. The next epic in our developmental journey is called Roamlii Adventures. This epic will take Roamlii into new territory where we evolve our offerings into the B2C realm, with a direct to consumer experiential product. Introducing Roamlii Adventures: A New Way to Explore Roamlii Adventures is a fresh, tech-enabled take on the classic road trip—part scavenger hunt, part curated itinerary, and all adventure. Blending the charm of handcrafted travel with the ease of modern tech, we’ve reimagined how people explore. Travellers unlock a self-guided series of surprise destinations, each revealed one pin at a time on an interactive digital map. Quirky landmarks, hidden gems, small-town eateries, and natural wonders—complete one stop to unveil the next. It’s the anticipation that makes the adventure magical. Designed for day-trips in and around cities, Roamlii Adventures weaves together discovery, storytelling, and delight—powered by our platform and backed by the itinerary-building capabilities of Roamer AI. This isn’t just sightseeing—it’s slow travel with purpose. Fun, accessible, shareable, and scalable across Canada. Roamlii Adventures marks our entry into experience-based tourism—an innovative product line built to attract travellers, connect communities, and unlock new pathways for growth. Tasks & Activities for Learners Research local destinations : Unearth unique, lesser-known attractions in and around selected cities—such as murals, local eateries, scenic views, historical curiosities, and community landmarks. Curate themed routes : Create 2–3 Roamlii Adventures per city, each with a distinct theme and 4–6 surprise stops. Write traveller-friendly content : Draft short, engaging descriptions (50–100 words) for each stop, including helpful travel tips and fun facts. Map & validate locations : Verify coordinates (lat/long) for usability within our platform, so we can plot the stops on our digital map. Assess feasibility : Ensure each stop is accessible, open to the public, and safe for self-guided travel. Document important information, such as wheel chair accessibility, family friendliness, pet friendly (dogs on leash), washrooms, etc. Suggest titles and summary blurbs : Craft compelling names and one-paragraph summaries for each adventure. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Build a catalogue of adventures and/or experiences to review further down the road

Events and Festivals Data Growth Initiative

The journey of an early stage startup often means a low level of awareness, particularly with a marketplace, where there are two distinct sides of the market that need to be established. So we often have to showcase what we can do, and what our value is first, in order to help people understand more clearly, and engage them to then participate. One area we're extremely eager to evolve more fully into is Events and Festivals (Arts, Culture, Festivals, Events, Networking, Tech Conferences, etc.). There are thousands of events and festivals offered year round across Canada, but they're often poorly marketed, fragmented across multiple platforms, and people frequently find out about them AFTER they've taken place. So Roamlii aims to be the singular aggregator for as many of them as possible. These events could span public dance showcases, food festivals, arts and craft fairs, music festivals, street fairs, cultural expos, networking and business events, conferences, and so much more. And so, the next epic in our developmental journey is curating the wealth of events and festivals across Canada onto our platform, and we need your help! Student Responsibilities: Design a Data Collection Strategy: Identify sources and plan for gathering event details across Canada (name, date, location, pricing, organizers etc.). Develop Web Scrapers: Write Python scripts to extract event data from online sources. Clean & Structure Data: Process raw data into a consistent, usable format. Plan for Continuous Updates: Propose a method to keep the event database current. Bonus steps could be getting us started with aggregating Sports as well

Development Phase 4 - Booking System Billing & Business Flow, & Itinerary Planner Design

Pathfinder365 seeks to rectify this imbalance by offering a fairer representation, ensuring a broader discovery of brilliant destinations. Pathfinder365’s mission is to revolutionize the current landscape of tourism platforms, advocating for fairness and a more comprehensive view of available travel experiences, while providing a full suite of promotional and lead management tools for its business partners, and a suite of discovery tools for its travellers. As we've evolved this system over our young life of 2.5 years, we've focused on building out the three key stages of a typical customer journey, discussed earlier. We've successfully built a solid foundation for the Discovery & Promotion stage, and we've integrated a comprehensive and dynamic lead management system to cover the Lead & Inquiry Management stage. Now it's time for the Booking & Scheduling system, which is a huge undertaking, and a critical one. With this project, we're looking to engage with a small team of talented full-stack developers to collaborate with our two internal developers, to build the first version of a tactical Booking & Scheduling system. This first version needs to be effective, efficient, and be the foundation for successive iterations for this system, which could eventually evolve into a dynamic property management system. This phase will involve: Identifying and recommending necessary billing features to include in iteration one of our Booking & Scheduling system Coding the billing aspects of the Booking & Scheduling system, including integrations with Stripe Business Connect Identify and track necessary features for subsequent iterations Track all innovations in a document Designing the Itinerary Planner tool
