This is my second time working with Taslaine Publishing industries. I had great experiences and I’m glad to join the project again! Tasha provides clear guidance, helpful feedback, and generous support throughout the project. I would recommend this project and organization to anyone who loves illustration and is eager to express their creative passion.

This company is young and eager to learn alongside their interns. They give the intern creative room to explore their own visual interpretation of written concepts. They allow the intern to roll with their own artistic style. When modification is specified as required by the project lead they are clear in conveying the changes they want to see. The intern has the opportunity to work directly with the author of the book they are creating illustrations for. The workload can get quite heavy but the project lead is happy to make accommodations if the intern feels the workload is too much to complete within the 80 hour threshold. If you enjoy illustrating and are a good team player this is the placement for you!

It was a real pleasure working with Taslaine Publishing Industries, Tasha and the team! Everyone was accommodating, and communication was very smooth and organized. The work opportunities they provided me were very valuable and helped me learn and hone my skillset further! Overall, I really enjoyed my time working on this project.

This relatively young publishing industry has an atmosphere well-suited for illustrators that are passionate about their work. Tasha, the project manager, makes it clear that she wishes to collaborate with her illustrators to create illustrations to satisfy all parties. She is open to her illustrators bringing in their own interpretation of her design prompts, and she is clear and respectful while providing any critiques she has of in-progress work. She takes all comments and concerns brought to her seriously and prioritizes respectful ethics. She respects and accepts the advice and critics of those illustrators that may have more experience in the art culture than herself, and is willing to learn and grow. This is an amazing opportunity for any students seriously interested in pursuing a career in illustration!

This was an amazing experience and company to work for. Tasha as an employer was nothing but helpful and provided us resources and help every step of the way. She gave us an opportunity to grow from fresh students to potential employees. All in all a wonderful experience and allowed me to feel more comfortable tackling different or uncomfortable situations.

It was such an awesome experience working with the CEO of BBYF. The expectations were clearly stated and all of the various sessions/meetings held together were smooth and to the point.

Building black youth foundation is new setup which will provide youth opportunity to network, brainstorming, games, and mental health education. This is an excellent idea to keep youth engage in healthy environment, their activities will provide healthy, smart, and educated youths who will be active and Smart addition to the society and Canadian economy. We worked with Tasha and found her an excellent lady to work with on IT policies, which will be soon required when fundings will be available to setup BBYF and they will be fully functional.
