Book Club Internship

The Starfish Canada is looking for 1 intern to write a three-part article series summarizing our organization’s monthly Book Club discussions on There’s Something in the Water by Ingrid R.J. Waldron . The goal of the project is to publish 3 high-quality articles about our discussions each month on the assigned reading for that meeting.

Top 25 Winners Campaign 2022/2023

The Starfish Canada is looking for one intern to write five articles celebrating our 2022/2023 Top 25 Environmentalists Under 25. The articles will be between 800 to 1000 words each and cover the stories and work of multiple Top 25 winners per article. The internship will run from the first week of January until the first week of March 2023.

TikTok Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves to create fun, original and attention-grabbing content and who has an understanding of the TikTok platform. Working closely with our digital marketing and editorial teams, you will get to own the content creation process from generating ideas, to filming, editing and publishing weekly content. Working 7 hours a week with The Starfish Canada team! The Starfish Canada is seeking an intern who has an interest in environmentalism, self-sufficient at creating content, and full of ideas! Our ideal candidate should be excited to establish, grow, and manage our TikTok account while building our brand, expanding our community base, and growing our overall TikTok following. Time commitment: 7 hours a week Start timing: Flexible, as soon as intern is available to start End timing: Dependant on start date

Alternative Forms of Content Creation

The Starfish Canada is seeking an intern to create a three-part alternative forms of content series based on themes surrounding Canadian Women’s History Month. The goal of the series is to publish high-quality creative forms of content to diversify the types of content that we publish on The Starfish Canada’s Youth Journal.
