I enhanced experiential learning opportunities inside and outside the classroom, working with Lakehead students and faculty primarily in the College of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Former Vice President, currently Board Member
African Soul, American Heart
March 1 - Current
I have served African Soul, American Heart primarily as Vice President but also did a one-year stint as President. I have been the sounding board and rock for the organization's founder and prime engine, Deb Dawson, but I have also been at times a social media director, event planner, and fundraiser. The organization has grown from scratch to a $300,000+ budget, serving 43 orphaned girls from South Sudan as they pursue their education in Uganda. We protect, educate, and empower these girls.
