Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer who will work with our team to implement design decisions for digital experiences that support users with disabilities and our clients. The designer will understand our users’ motivations and needs, leveraging design research, accessibility, and usability principles as well as your intuitive design sense in a holistic way. If you are looking to expand your UI/UX portfolio, we want to hear from you! Along with your resume, please submit a portfolio of previous work and/or provide links to showcase your best work on why you’d be perfect for this role.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

You will be responsible for implementing the following:

  • You will consider user interactions and journeys and act as an advocate for the constant improvement of both
  • Producing compelling designs to illustrate concepts iteratively and to be able to provide detailed specifications for software developers
  • Customer testing and incorporate customer research and insights
  • Subject matter knowledge for conceptual and technical design, development, and implementation

By the end of this project, you would have supported the development of our front-end UI/UX, ensuring it is accessible and user-friendly, capturing each of these modifications into a document highlighting the changes.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

1. Accessibility audits: support around audits of your designs to identify any potential barriers to accessibility and provide recommendations for improvement.

2. Accessibility training: training to help you understand the principles of accessibility and how to design with accessibility in mind.

3. User testing: user testing with people with disabilities to ensure that your designs are accessible and meet the needs of all users.

4. Accessibility guidelines: accessibility guidelines and best practices to help you design accessible and inclusive interfaces.

5. Accessibility consulting: services to help you design accessible interfaces and ensure that your designs meet accessibility standards and guidelines.
