Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Our company advertises thousands of products online. We hope to revamp our social media and email marketing content to attract more customers.

We would like students to help us create content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Familiarizing themselves with our company’s products, marketing goals and target market.
  • Researching factors affecting the quality of digital content.
  • Recommending changes to existing digital content and designing new social media posts and emails.
  • Recommending and designing new digital content not already used by our company.

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Testing and improving designs based on feedback.


What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the conclusion of this project, students are expected to exhibit a comprehensive understanding of our company's products and overarching goals. They should systematically undertake market research, identifying the current market landscape, potential opportunities, challenges, and understanding customer needs and preferences. Following this, the students will embark on product analysis, diving deep into the features, competitiveness, and positioning of the product, ensuring they have a profound grasp of the company's core values.


In terms of literal content creation, students must ensure the accuracy, relevancy, and appeal of the content, aligning it with the expectations and needs of the target audience. When designing graphic content, students should not only aim for visual appeal but also ensure that these graphics complement the textual content, together conveying the company's message and brand image.


Review and revision are critical. Students are expected to scrutinize their work multiple times, ensuring all content is of high quality, error-free, and aligns with the company's standards and expectations. Building on this, students will also master the art of crafting promotional posters that captivate customer attention.


Lastly, before any content is posted or published, meticulous planning and preparation are paramount. Students are encouraged to harness modern technologies and platforms, like Facebook and Instagram, to effectively showcase and promote their content.


Incorporating the modern digital landscape, students should also demonstrate how to aptly adapt these content suggestions for social media marketing posts and advertising banners, ensuring maximum impact across various media channels. Their diligent efforts should culminate in a detailed final report and a succinct 10-minute presentation.
