What is the main goal for this project?

Our team is looking to improve our search engine optimization strategy and rank first or in the top three of Google's organic search results for specific search terms related to our industry.

This project will require up to 40 hours of work and include keyword research and an SEO plan for our business. Students will perform the following tasks:

  • Researching keywords to determine the most relevant terms that our customers search for.
  • Researching Search Engine Optimization strategies to help us rank on the first page of Google.
  • Identifying how each SEO strategy directly impacts the business.


What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:

  • Compile a list of the most relevant SEO keywords for our industry that are also tailored to our business.
  • Identify effective SEO strategies we can use to counter our competitors and rank first or very high on Google organic search results.
  • Prepare a report outlining the execution of the SEO strategies to use anywhere online to help drive traffic back to our website.


Final deliverables should include

  • A report containing the most relevant SEO keywords for our company and an SEO strategy summary.
  • A general brand description or overview for introducing our brand to new audiences online using the most relevant keywords identified.
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will connect directly with us through email, video, etc for mentorship throughout the duration of the project.

We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • What Search Engine Optimization strategy and keywords are we currently using, and which keywords have we used in the past?
  • How do we rank on Google based on different search terms?
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
