Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

As a B2C and B2B company in Canada, our primary goal is raising exposure to our unique to us products. We have overspent trying to use Google Ads and agencies to cater to our market segment’s wants and needs. We want to maximize our sales but are at a point where creativity through organic ideas has to from a larger part of our plan, we can't buy conversion as we thought.. We have recently attracted a large Canadian grocery chain and are excited but we have a real dedication to mom and pop and ndependent regional and local stores so that would be a key factor to consider. It will be important to gather information on buying behaviour, experiences, expectations, and perception of both our brand and our largest competitors.

Tasks may involve:


  • Creating an unbiased survey with questions regarding consumer experience with our brand, perception of our products/services, and opinions on our competitors.
  • Directly contacting stores to garner actual buyer insights or inform buyers who may not be aware of our lines.
  • Creating effective conversation questions for customer interviews.
  • Determining the best way to reach customers and how to motivate them to provide feedback on the company (we will distribute the survey accordingly).
  • Analyzing trends within primary data collected through the survey and interviews, and reporting on them.
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities (this is basically a retelling of the steps above):

  • Created a survey about customer experience, perception, and opinions about our brand and our largest competitors. Both B2B and B2C
  • Created conversation/interview questions for consumers and analyzed the responses collected by (whoever is running the project).
  • Created a report on primary and secondary findings of industry trends.
  • Provide a database of contacts who expressed interest and provided contact info for follow up.
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will connect directly with us for questions, product knowledge, past endeavours and product line information needed for the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • The customer segments our brand primarily caters to.
  • Information about our products/services.
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
  • Feedback on ideas
  • supporting activities to contact influential targets
  • Discussing findings, suggestions and opportunities to help us achieve more sales.
About the company

We are a distributor to retailers like health stores, drug stores, active sports ,specialty grocers/C stores,retailers in hiking, running and cycling. Examples are Pharmasave, London Drugs MEC, Well.ca, Kintec Footlabs, Indigo Books, Hamilton Trikes, Fairfield Cycle, Wilsom Mountain Sports and many independent operators in these same fields. We use, www.sportsfleets.com as our HQ site and also sell through www.incrediwear.ca. We just launched a new online ordering portal, NOW Commerce, which is specifically geared towards wholesale accounts(retailers)
