Project scope
- What is the main goal for this project?
-
Our company is on the cusp of creating a new product, we understand our users and what they need, we have a vision for our product, what we are missing in order to be able to move toward development is are the models required to guide the developers.
We are looking for a group who is interested in learning what it takes to move a start up forward, and, who is interested in working with us to develop the information architecture and data model artifacts for the product.
- What are our business processes?
- How do we structure our business information?
- What kinds of information do we use within these processes?
- What kinds of information do we store?
- Where does it come from? Where does it go?
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
-
By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:
- Understanding of the logistics quoting process
- Understanding of product goals and outcomes
- Clear linkages between the goals and outcomes and the physical data model
Bonus steps would include:
- Recommending improvements for design
Final deliverables should include:
- A conceptual logical data model and a physical data model
- A final report.
- A 10-minute presentation.
