Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

We need students to secure backlinks to our suite of five websites, either with the placement of links or guest post articles with embedded links. The goal is to improve our domain authorities for these sites so that our pages are more likely to be indexed and ranked by search engines.


What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Based on our goals, we are looking for students to complete the following from a supplied list of potential sites:

  • Assess each site for the what placement opportunities, if any, are available. Different options could include listings on directories, placement of a guest article, account creation, commenting on forum posts, etc.
  • Where opportunity exists, place either backlinks to our sites and/or supplied content as available.
  • Record they opportunity type (or lack of opportunity) and the completion for each placed link.


How will you support learners in completing the project?

An onboarding webinar will be done to train on effective linkbuilding techniques. Through the project, students will work closely with the primary project manager who is supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.


A dedicated email address will be provided to each learner to enable setup of online accounts at target sites. Also pre-written draft articles will also be provided to post where applicable. These articles may require some minimal editing to insert the URLs you want to embed.

What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

A basic understanding of Content Marketing and best practices is required, as well as the ability to complete effective research.
