Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Looking for students to research and write articles on travel/destinations. This can come from personal experience (10 Things to Do in Barcelona, Off the Beaten Path in Chicago, Hidden Gems in County Kerry, Things to Look for in a Hostel) or as a research project (i.e., Top Tips for Multigenerational Travel, Humanitarian Student Travel, Planning a Trip With Friends: What to Avoid, etc.).

Students with excellent writing skills and an interest in travel would be ideal candidates for this project.

Students will receive an editorship on our site specific to their research area, authorship credit for all articles published, and mentoring/recommendation letters surrounding their topic.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Tasks will include:

  • Discussion of topical synergy between our website and your academic/research goals
  • Research/write specific travel articles, as assigned
  • Write articles that are both academic in nature and general-reader friendly
  • Other tasks, including social media, photo sourcing, and keyword research for high-volume, evergreen traffic
How will you support learners in completing the project?

Opportunity to work with experienced global educator on the #1 travel education website. Mentorship includes topical discussions, writing/editing assistance, social media promotion of project, and powerful recommendation letters.

What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

Writing skills, google docs, picture sourcing from pixabay.com, and a willingness to learn canva.com for creating graphics to go with the articles.
