Ami McKay founded PURE Design 24 years ago. PURE Design is an award winning and highly published interior design and construction company with a recently aired pilot on the Magnolia Network and HGTV. Most recently PURE Design was honoured by the NKBA as Western Canada's Designer of the Year.
You will be helping us with several tasks and working hand in hand with our Operations Manager and our Creative Coordinator. The tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Presentations
- Email marketing
- Social media (we have 56K followers, @puredesigninc)
- Events
- Branding & Merchandising
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

What we are looking for
- Proficiency in the use of social media platforms and interactive web applications
- Experience with content creation
- Written communication skills
- Visual skills
- Marketing experience
- An intern who is willing and open to learning, executing, and collaborating.
What you will gain

- How will you support learners in completing the project?

We will welcome our interns with guidance, support and clear instructions and requirements. They will work in our happy office with our team, in the design studio and hand in hand with our Operations manager and Creative Coordinator. We are flexible with hours, lunch and coffee breaks. Interns will have access to all of our tools, software and equipment.

Who We Are
We are PURE Design and our founder is Ami McKay. We are a full-service Interior Design studio with Project Management in business for 23 years. We also have a PURE Shoppe attached to our design studio and 90% of the homewares and art are ethical and artisan goods. We are an entrepreneurial company with a growth mindset aiming to expand into product development. We have also filmed a pilot for Magnolia Network/HBO Max that will be airing in December. Ami’s goals are vast and exciting! We are a woman-owned and operated company that is nurturing and fun. We are a 13-person strong team including interior designers, stylists, a shop manager, a marketing team, a procurement manager and two project managers. We all work together as a small company and our jobs often cross over so our skill sets are varied. PURE Design and Ami have been featured in countess magazines, podcasts and interviews, and PURE has won several awards including Ami winning runner up for BC Business Woman of the year 2023.
