Our company would like to explore re-designing our current website and Communications audit tool with a prototype. The goal is to design the user interface/how this tool will look and how users will engage with it and then what the final report will look like, including potential interactive elements.

This will involve:

• Conducting background research on our existing web application for the product. We are happy to provide a walkthrough and other resources to help bring them up to speed.
• Identifying key areas of our current website and what areas of focused might return the best results in a redesign.
• Creation of a screen by screen UX / UI prototype of a web application which can be used on all major browsers and be mobile friendly
• Conducting UX / UI testing with real potential users potentially involving paper prototypes or other software tools to support this

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:

• Familiarize themselves with our existing product to understand the requirements, design work, and feedback that already exists, and to identify gaps to be filled in the next stage
• Audit the current user flow to identify pain points, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
• Design improved flows for the distinct user types. Workshop ideas and turn those into wireframes or mockups that show exactly how the solution could work
• Once high fidelity mockups are complete, create a prototype in Figma that can be used to test and validate the designs. Test and iterate as time allows.
• Present the final design screens to us with the context of all their choices they made, problems they encountered, and next steps they recommend.

Bonus steps would include:

• Conducting any sort of user testing on the prototypes to ensure ease of use and to collect user feedback.

Final deliverables should include

• The design screens and all assets in a shareable format
• A presentation as stated above of the final designs
