What is the main goal for this project?

The main goal for the project is to create 5 report templates for Clean Air Partnership (CAP) using their style guide in InDesign. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:


- Reviewing the style guide provided by CAP to understand their branding and design requirements.


- Creating 5 different report templates in InDesign that align with CAP's style guide, including cover pages, headers, footers, and page layouts.


- Incorporating any specific design elements or graphics provided by CAP into the report templates.


- Ensuring that the report templates are user-friendly and easy to edit for CAP's team.


What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?


By the end of the project, students should complete the following tasks:


- 5 unique report templates created in InDesign that align with CAP's style guide.


- A document outlining the design choices and elements used in each report template.


- Any additional design assets or graphics used in the report templates.



Final deliverables:


- All InDesign files for the report templates.


- A written report explaining the design process and choices made for each template.


How will you support learners in completing the project?

Our team will have weekly check-ins with the project team. We will provide our brand guide, logos, existing reports, designs and styles that we like and other supports as needed.

What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?


In order to complete this project, students will need to have the following skills:


- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign.


- Understanding of design principles and branding guidelines.


- Attention to detail and ability to follow specific design requirements.


- Strong communication skills to document design choices and collaborate with CAP's team.



Nice to haves for students include:


- Experience working with non-profit organizations or environmental initiatives.


- Knowledge of sustainable design practices.


- Experience with graphic design or creating visual assets.
