The annual intergenerational event for Black Women in Surrey, BC, is a significant occasion that fosters community, connection, and empowerment across generations. However, securing adequate funding is crucial to ensure the event's success and sustainability. The project aims to develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy that leverages both traditional and digital platforms to reach potential donors and sponsors. Learners will apply their knowledge of marketing, communication, and event management to identify potential funding sources, create compelling fundraising materials, and propose innovative fundraising activities. The goal is to create a sustainable model that can be used for future events, ensuring continued support and engagement from the local community and the broader community partners.

- Analyze past fundraising efforts and identify areas for improvement.

- Research potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.

- Develop a marketing and communication plan to promote the fundraising campaign.

- Propose creative fundraising activities that align with the event's mission and values.

Deliverables

The project will result in a detailed fundraising strategy document that outlines the proposed plan and activities. This will include a list of potential donors and sponsors, a marketing and communication plan, and a timeline for implementation. Additionally, learners will create sample fundraising materials, such as brochures or social media content, to support the campaign. The deliverables will provide a clear roadmap for ACT By Vidal to execute a successful fundraising campaign for the event.
