A Day in the Life of an Engineering Intern at Apollo Scooters:
Are you a detail-oriented and passionate individual ready to immerse yourself in product development? Join Apollo Scooters as an enthusiastic engineering intern! This internship will allow you to fully immerse you in the complete process of developing a product from conception to production.
The smaller team means that you will quickly have to get involved in all aspects of the design.
Internship Opportunity:
Product Engineering and Development
Join us for an exciting internship where you'll be engaged in a range of pivotal tasks aimed at enhancing our product portfolio and engineering capabilities. Throughout your internship, you will:
1. Project Coordination:
- Assist in conducting weekly meetings with our various factories and suppliers in China to stay updated on project progress.
- Flexibility in working hours is required to accommodate interactions with international partners.
- Communicate and follow up with team members and other departments
- Report on progress of projects to Product Development Managers
2. Technical Analysis and Testing Methodology:
- Assist in performing FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to ascertain hardware capabilities and define limits.
- Establish rigorous testing methodologies, particularly through Rig testing at our factory, ensuring comprehensive product evaluation.
- Assist in creating technical review documentation
3. Design and Engineering Collaboration:
- Contribute to shaping our future product portfolio by collaborating closely with the design and engineering teams. Proposing new manufacturing methods or concept ideas.
4. Regulatory Compliance and Product Enhancement:
- Ensure compliance with the latest certification regulations for electric scooters, ensuring our products meet all necessary standards.
- Work with Legal resources to implement Intellectual Property (IP) activities
- Ensure that our products are compliant before they are launched on the market.
5. Product Understanding and Improvement:
- Spend time riding our products to gain a deep understanding of their functionality and performance.
- Identify areas of improvement and weaknesses within our current and upcoming portfolio, providing valuable insights for enhancement.
6. Documentation and Project Management:
- Maintain up-to-date manuals, screws documentation, and internal project tracking tools, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Maintain up-to-date change engineering documentation across all our models.
