Details

The Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch Program Society (ENW) seeks to leverage advanced data analytics to enhance community safety and engagement. The project focuses on transforming raw community data into actionable insights, thereby supporting ENW's mission of fostering safer, more connected neighborhoods across Edmonton. By developing interactive dashboards, predictive models, and automated workflows, the project aims to provide ENW with tools to better understand and respond to community safety trends. This initiative will allow ENW to identify potential safety issues before they escalate, engage more effectively with community members, and streamline reporting processes. The project will enable learners to apply their classroom knowledge of data analytics, visualization, and workflow automation in a real-world context, ultimately contributing to a safer Edmonton.

Deliverables

The project will deliver a suite of cleaned, merged dataset(s) with documentation. Interactive dashboards that visualize key community safety metrics, predictive models that forecast potential safety issues, and automated workflows that streamline data reporting and analysis.

A summary report or executive presentation

These deliverables will be designed to be user-friendly and easily integrated into ENW's existing systems.

The final presentation will include a demonstration of the dashboards and models, along with documentation detailing their development and usage.
