- What is the main goal for this project?

We are looking for a researcher who will work with our team to identify accommodations available for workers with disabilities. The intern will investigate the myriad of accommodations which support workers with disabilities and develop a list which covers all relevant workplace accommodations. If you are looking to expand your research portfolio, we want to hear from you!
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

- Analyze available information relevant to workers with disabilities to identify common accommodations that are provided in the workplace, such as flexible schedules, assistive technology, and physical modifications to the workplace
- Organize the information into a clear and comprehensive list, and categorize the accommodations by types, disability category, definitions, documentation requirements, industries, etc.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of the list through additional research or feedback from experts in the field
- Document the methods and sources used in the research and create a report or presentation to share the findings
The intern will be required to support the development of the accommodation dataset and provide an overview of the components they built within that dataset.

- What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

- Sound understanding of research methods and application
- Proficient in spreadsheets, e.g., Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft programs, such as Word and PowerPoint
- Proficient in Google programs such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, etc. will be considered an asset

- Strong research, writing and communication skills
