What is the main goal for this project?

The main goal of this project is to assist the CEO with all kinds of different work such as making PPTs, excel sheet and problem solving. You will work very closely with the CEO and understand the day-to-day workings behind the startup. You will also find and write new grants for Mosa and to handle the operations of existing grants.


You'll work hands-on alongside the CEO, overseeing a range of administrative tasks and gaining valuable financial skills and mentorship. You’ll play a significant role in advancing our mission, instrumental in making a positive impact and fostering our mission for sustainability.




What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:


- Researching and identifying potential grant opportunities


- Writing grant proposals and applications.


- Developing and managing grant budgets.


- Tracking grant progress and reporting on outcomes.


- Developing strategies for grant sustainability.


- Researching and applying for awards, space at home decor markets and events

How will you support learners in completing the project?

The student will be paid $17.5/hour.


The student will be trained and mentored by experienced people to guide and support them in their professional journey.

About the company

Mosa is a local, Vancouver-based brand that offers upcycled home décor products that provide people with a simple way to take a sustainable step and make an environmental impact. We collect used glass bottles and upcycle them into timeless products such as candles, platters and glasses.
