Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

The main goal for the project is to develop an ESG reporting platform with ETL, UI, and Data Ingestion capabilities for AlchiMetis, a company specializing in Oracle, Microsoft, and Full-stack technologies. The platform should enable the company to effectively report on environmental, social, and governance factors in their enterprise B2B applications, web, and mobile-based apps, portals, and solutions.

This will involve several different steps for the learners, including:

- Understanding the ESG reporting requirements and goals of AlchiMetis.

- Developing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to extract data from various sources, transform it, and load it into the reporting platform.

- Designing and implementing a user interface (UI) for the ESG reporting tool to ensure user-friendly interaction and data visualization.

- Creating data ingestion capabilities to enable the platform to efficiently handle large volumes of ESG-related data.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, learners should complete the following tasks:

- ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

- User interface design and implementation for the ESG reporting tool.

- Data ingestion capabilities to handle large volumes of ESG-related data.

Final deliverables should include:

- Documentation of the ETL processes, UI design, and data ingestion capabilities.

- Functional ESG reporting platform integrated with AlchiMetis' existing applications.

How will you support learners in completing the project?
  1. Staff Time:
  • Dedicated project manager: A project manager will oversee the entire project, providing guidance, support, and coordination throughout the process.
  • Subject matter experts: Experienced professionals in web development, WordPress, UI/UX design, and design thinking will be available to offer mentorship, answer questions, and provide feedback.
  • Weekly check-in meetings: Regular check-in meetings will be scheduled to discuss progress, address challenges, and provide additional support as needed.
  1. Access to Tools and Technology:
  • Development tools: Learners will have access to development environments, code editors, version control systems (e.g., Git), and testing tools to build and debug the website.
  • WordPress platform: Access to WordPress CMS (Content Management System) will be provided for learners to design, develop, and manage website content efficiently.
  • Design software: Learners can utilize industry-standard design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma for UI/UX design prototyping and collaboration.
  1. Access to Data:

  • User feedback: Learners will have access to user feedback collected through surveys, interviews, or usability testing sessions to iteratively improve the website's design and functionality.
  • Analytics tools: Access to website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) will be provided to track user engagement, behavior, and performance metrics post-launch, enabling learners to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
  1. Learning Resources:
  • Online tutorials and documentation: Curated resources, tutorials, and documentation on web development, WordPress customization, UI/UX design principles, and design thinking methodologies will be provided to support learners at different skill levels.
  • Peer collaboration: Learners will have opportunities to collaborate with peers, share insights, and provide mutual support through online forums, discussion boards, or collaborative platforms.
  1. Feedback and Evaluation:
  • Iterative feedback loop: Learners will receive regular feedback from instructors, mentors, peers, and potential end-users throughout the project lifecycle, enabling them to iterate and refine their work iteratively.
  • Final evaluation: The completed website will undergo a final evaluation based on predefined criteria, including functionality, design aesthetics, usability, accessibility, and alignment with the organization's objectives.
