Details

This project will provide an opportunity to design realistic marketing strategies for Federation of Canadian Secondary Students (FCSS-FESC).

Your main objective will be to analyze the organization's current marketing strategies and develop an actionable, cost efficient strategy that will reflect both its mission and operational goals. Given the unique challenges that non profit organizations face, including limited resources, high volunteer turnover, and mission driven priorities, recommendations must be both achievable and impact driven.

Through the application of marketing strategies and real world information, your work will help FCSS-FESC strengthen its engagement with the public, expand its reach, and improve communication with advocacy efforts to students and the public.

Deliverables
  • Identify the organization’s target audiences, key marketing goals, and barriers to effective outreach or program engagement
  • Develop a set of practical and missions aligned marketing strategies, made for the nonprofit sector and the organization's resources available (e.g. partnerships, event promotions, social media engagement)
  • Propose a marketing communications plan that outlines messaging, channels, timing, and budget considerations
  • Recommend performance metrics and evaluation tools to help FCSS-FESC track the impact of its marketing activities/efforts
  • Present your strategy in a clear, concise, and well structured report and presentation, ensure it is accessible to both staff and volunteers
  • If applicable, create sample marketing materials (e.g., social media posts, event flyers, email templates) that reflect the organization's voice and branding
  • Where feasible, suggest free or low cost marketing tools that can support campaign implementation and automation
