Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

The main goal for the project is to design and develop educational workshops based on systematic reviews of relevant literature and interviews with mentors and specialists. For example, workshops could focus on topics like current environmental challenges, gender equality, or navigating the challenges and opportunities in private education systems.

Students will collaborate to integrate the acquired knowledge into drafting the guidelines and main themes of the workshop. They will support the process by familiarizing themselves with the research, identifying and categorizing relevant papers and specialists, taking part in interviews, and summarizing important findings from relevant studies and interviews. The project also involves working with researchers to draft the main themes of the workshop based on the results.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Familiarize themselves with our research : understand the types of academic papers and specialists involved.

Identifying and categorizing relevant papers and specialists : use specific criteria to evaluate the relevance of articles, such as the impact factor of journals or the expertise areas of specialists.

Identify and categorize relevant papers and specialists : use specific criteria to evaluate the relevance of articles, such as the impact factor of journals or the expertise areas of specialists.

Participate in interviews with specialists focusing on key themes such as current challenges and future trends in the field.

Summarize important findings : from both the literature and interviews, synthesize key insights that will inform the workshop content.

Draft workshop guidelines and themes : collaborate with researchers to develop a structured outline of the workshop, which will guide the educational content and activities.

By the end of the project, participants should deliver:

A comprehensive report : this report should identify the key areas of need and summarize the findings from both the literature reviews and the interviews with specialists. Specifically, the report should include a synthesis of main themes, an identification of gaps and recommendations for workshops

Documentation of the process : A comprehensive dossier documenting each step of the research and development process of the project. This documentation will be useful for ensuring the transparency of the project and can be used as a reference for training new team members

How will you support learners in completing the project?

The student will be working closely with our team. We will support them with anything they need to succeed. Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as our research projects, current understanding of our field of research, input on choices, problems, or any other issues the students might encounter.

Mentorship Strategy:

  • Initial Meeting: Conduct an introductory session to discuss project goals, expectations, and timelines.
  • Goal Alignment: Align project objectives with the student's personal and professional development goals.
  • Scheduled Check-ins: Establish a regular meeting schedule to monitor progress, address challenges, and provide guidance.
  • Resource Provision: Provide access to relevant materials, tutorials, and tools necessary for the project.
  • Presentation Opportunity: Allow the student to present their completed work to the team, enhancing their communication skills and confidence.
