Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Main Objective:

The main objective of this project is to redesign and enhance the website for Vergo, a platform utilizing computer vision technology to assess workplace ergonomics. The primary goal is to improve user experience, increase engagement, and effectively communicate Vergo's value proposition to visitors. By the end of the project, learners will have revamped the website to better showcase Vergo's capabilities and attract potential clients. In pursuit of this objective, we recently underwent a Marketing Strategy engagement that involved a thorough website design audit. This audit covered key aspects like first impressions, navigation, content, imagery, mobile optimization, interaction, accessibility, and SEO. As we aim to enhance our online presence and better communicate our mission, we're seeking a student to assist in redesigning and improving our website on the Wix platform.

Problem Description/Expected Outcome:

Learners will tackle the challenge of redesigning Vergo's website to address various aspects such as first impressions, navigation, content organization, imagery, mobile optimization, interaction features, accessibility, and SEO. The expected outcome is a visually appealing, user-friendly website that effectively conveys Vergo's mission, services, and benefits to users. This revamped website should enhance Vergo's online presence, attract more visitors, and ultimately contribute to the company's growth and success.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
  • Website Audit: Conduct a thorough review of Vergo's current website, focusing on areas such as design, functionality, and user experience.
  • Research and Analysis: Research industry best practices and competitor websites to gather inspiration and insights for the redesign.
  • Define Objectives and Audience: Clearly define the objectives of the website redesign and identify the target audience to tailor the design and content accordingly.
  • Wireframing and Prototyping: Develop wireframes and prototypes for the new website layout, ensuring optimal user flow and functionality.
  • Content Creation and Optimization: Create compelling and informative content for various pages of the website, optimizing it for both users and search engines.
  • Design Overhaul: Implement a visually appealing design scheme, including suitable imagery, colors, and typography that align with Vergo's brand identity.
  • Mobile Responsiveness: Ensure that the website is fully optimized for mobile devices, providing a seamless browsing experience across all screen sizes.
  • Enhanced Interaction: Integrate interactive elements and features to engage visitors and encourage user interaction.
  • Accessibility Compliance: Ensure that the website adheres to accessibility standards, making it usable for individuals with disabilities.
  • SEO Implementation: Optimize the website for search engines by incorporating relevant keywords, meta tags, and other SEO best practices to improve visibility and rankings.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

This information will help inform decision-making and ensure the website redesign aligns with Vergo's goals and target audience.
