What is the main goal for this project?

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

As a Marketing Production Assistant (Intern), you will play a pivotal role in supporting our marketing team's creative and production processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital storytelling, content creation, and campaign development within the adventure and destination industry. You will be immersed in a fast-paced, creative environment where your contributions will directly impact our clients' success and growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Trend Reporting: Conduct research on the latest marketing trends within the adventure and destination industry, compiling reports that will inform our strategy and creative direction.
  • Behind-the-Scenes (BTS) Capture: Actively participate in capturing BTS content during client and internal activities, shoots, and events, providing our audience with a glimpse of our creative process.
  • Learning from Experts: Learn directly from experienced photographers, videographers, and designers, gaining insights into professional content creation and visual storytelling.
  • Hands-On Client Campaigns: Engage hands-on in client shoots and campaigns, applying your learning in real-world settings to create compelling marketing materials.
  • Campaign Conceptualization: Assist in brainstorming and conceptualizing marketing campaign ideas, leveraging insights from trend reports and team discussions.
  • Production Assistance: Serve as a Production Assistant on shoots, supporting both the logistical and creative needs of the team to ensure smooth operation.
  • AI Interaction for Content Drafts: Utilize AI tools to generate first drafts of content, including social media posts, blog articles, and marketing materials, under the guidance of our creative team.
  • Collaborative Projects: Work closely with various departments, including design, video, and marketing technology, to assist in the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns.

  • Implement a structured mentorship program that includes weekly one-on-one meetings to discuss progress, answer questions, and provide personalized advice.

2. Access to Tools and Technology:

  • Provide full access to state-of-the-art marketing tools and technologies, including software for photo and video editing, content management systems, and AI-driven content creation platforms.
  • We offer training sessions to familiarize you with these tools, ensuring effective utilization in projects.

3. Learning and Development Workshops:

  • Setsail shall organize regular workshops and training sessions that cover various aspects of marketing, content creation, and industry trends. These sessions will be led by internal experts or external professionals.
  • Setsail can facilitate hands-on practice during these workshops to help apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.

4. Real-World Project Involvement:

  • Integrate assistant into real-world projects and client campaigns, giving them the opportunity to apply their skills and contribute meaningfully to the team's objectives.
  • Ensure projects are aligned with the the assistant's learning goals and provide a comprehensive understanding of the marketing process from conceptualization to execution.

5. Cross-Departmental Exposure:

  • We can arrange for assistants to spend time with different departments within the company, such as design, video production, and marketing technology. This exposure will offer a holistic view of the agency's operations and foster a broader skill set.

7. Feedback and Evaluation:

  • A structured feedback system will be implemented that includes mid-term and final evaluations to discuss the intern's performance, achievements, and areas for improvement.
  • We shall encourage assistants to provide feedback on their learning experience, helping to continuously improve the internship program.
