What is the main goal for this project?

The main goal for the project is to create a targeted marketing plan for community arts and cultural events that are hosted by the Willowdale Central Ratepayers' Association (WCRA). This will involve identifying the target audience, developing strategies to reach them, and promoting the events effectively to increase attendance and engagement with a focus on Social Media promotional activities.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?


- Conducting market research to identify the target audience for community arts and cultural events.


- Developing a marketing strategy that includes online and offline promotional activities.


- Creating promotional materials such as flyers, posters, with a focus on digital content.


- Implementing the marketing plan and tracking its effectiveness through attendance and engagement metrics.


- Analyzing the results and making recommendations for future marketing efforts.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

The WCRA will provide the successful student applicant with access to funds directly related to this project (eg. cover the cost of social media advertising based on recommendations from the student). Further, the student will have access to WCRA board members and the organization's partners (eg. elected representatives at the Federal, Provincial and Municipal levels of government, as well as local business owners and community organization leads).
