The main goal of the project is to develop a WordPress application for NAMI Alameda County South that will allow participants to select support group leaders and also have the ability to charge and collect fees for service from other NAMI organizations that provide program leaders. This will involve several different steps for the learners, including:
- Understanding the specific requirements and functionalities needed for the WordPress application.
- Designing the user interface and user experience for the application.
- Developing the backend functionality for selecting support group leaders and processing service fees.
- Testing the application for usability, functionality, and security.

I am a retired VP of IT from a large international bank. I will work with a student in developing detailed requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation. The student will be provided a website host account, URL, and WordPress access. NAMI ACS will pay for all technical support software for the project.

NAMI Alameda County South’s Mission is to empower individuals with mental illness and their caregivers to facilitate recovery to the extent of their ability.
We provide classes for caregivers of someone with a mental illness, classes for those with a mental illness so that they may be able to manage their illness better, and, recovery presentations for those who are hospitalized in acute care psychiatric hospitals, and others.
