What is the main goal for this project?

PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET:

Sonical.ly is an early stage gaming and education tech startup whose mandate is to make music creation easily accessible to everyone. The company was founded by Juno Award winning K-pop music producer/product designer/educator Elmo Chong and, who is spearheading an exciting new phase of iterative growth towards product market fit.

To elevate successful outcomes, Sonical.ly has enlisted an elite board of advisors that are accomplished experts in AAA gaming and Venture Investing. These advisors include:

  1. Charles Huang: Music game legend and founder of the Guitar Hero franchise.
  2. Jungwon Hahn: Former Managing Director of Blizzard Entertainment.
  3. John Kim: Silicon Valley Venture Capitalist for Amasia .
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Problem:

We are looking to reduce user drop off upon onboarding into our application.

We would also like to increase user retention and time spent in our application. After analyzing the data we feel that the majority of the problems are design related issues.

We would love some help running a number of experiments to A/B test potential solutions that can drive these numbers in the right direction.

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to find solutions that will reduce any friction within the user experience.
How will you support learners in completing the project?

We will be available at all times during work hours to discuss deliverables, guidance, updates and goals.

What skills or technologies will help learners to complete the project?

The ideal candidates for this project will have a love for music/games, possess an eye for design, and have a natural empathy to help solve real pain points for potential users. This person is patient, has excellent time-management skills, and practices an effective communication style.
