PROJECT DETAILS

The main goal for the project is to develop a digital monitoring tool to visualize insightful statistics of and for the a local market. This tool will target small businesses and consumers alike, providing them with valuable data and analytics to make informed decisions and strategies for the local economic market.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

- Researching the specific statistics and data points relevant to the local market versus the national views.  

- Present the statistics in an insightful and easy-to-understand manner.

- Testing the tool for accuracy and functionality.

- Gathering feedback from potential users to make improvements.

Deliverables

PROJECT DELIVERABLES

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

- A comprehensive understanding of the statistics and data relevant to the local market.

- A fully functional digital monitoring tool with an intuitive user interface.

- Data visualization techniques applied to present the statistics effectively.

- Polling, testing and feedback analysis to showcase improvements made to the tool.


Final deliverables should include:

- The developed digital monitoring tool with all source materials.

- A detailed report explaining the design process, data sources, and outcomes.

- Presentation materials for showcasing the tool and its capabilities.

- A comprehensive “white paper” report outlining the research findings and the functionality of the tool.

Mentorship
  • Provide access to the back end and all source data.
  • Meeting/Office times on Mondays are between 10 am to 6 pm CST (time & length TBD)
  • Provide access to focus groups and test subjects.
  • Provide guidance for digital marketing and consumer behavior analysis.
  • Share knowledge of statistical analysis tools and techniques.
  • Share knowledge of the advertising and communications industry.

Students will be expected to research and learn more about the above as the project goes along.
