What is the main goal for this project?

Level Up Positions Available: 2

The Peer Health Education Mental Health Coping Cards project requires the student(s) to create pocket-sized resources highlighting common emotions and mental health symptoms and effective coping strategies for each. These Coping Cards will be available at New Student Orientations and educational table displays for students to have.

By the end of this project, the student(s) should deliver a minimum of 10 coping cards to share with the community.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

The Peer Health Education Mental Health Coping Cards project tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • research and compile evidence-based information related to mental health signs and symptoms and effective coping strategies to support mental wellbeing
  • create 10 mental health coping cards
  • create a reference list
How will you support learners in completing the project?

The student working on this project will be able to meet with the supervision team weekly throughout their project period.

Essential reference materials related to mental health, emotional wellbeing and coping strategies will be provided; however, additional research may be required.

Access to an online platform for creating content will be provided. Please note that the student must have access to their own computer or be willing to attend MacEwan University in-person to use a public access computer.
