Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Filz is seeking a creative, motivated and forward thinking individual who is able to take our brand identity to the next level.

This will include:

  • Drafting a branding guide, including a colour scheme, typography, tone and voice.
  • Creating graphic design assets for our marketing materials and websites, such as a Wordmark logo, icon, and slogans of various sizes to be used across social media platforms.
  • Note: Many of these elements are already created. We are looking to work closely with someone who is capable of fine-tuning our existing brand, but who also is confident to offer up their own expertise and opinions. These resources will be provided once the successful student is identified.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?
  • Creating color themes, palettes and branding guides that align with our brands vision
  • Creating graphic design assets for our marketing materials, website, and various social media platforms (e.g. favicon, logo in various colours)
  • Creating a brand voice and 'persona'
  • Draft slogans
  • Propose typography recommendations, including font pairings

The student will present the above elements as a 'brand booklet' or a PowerPoint Presentation - this will be determined at a later date. Justification and reasoning should be provided for why each element is chosen to ensure it aligns with the brand identity.

How will you support learners in completing the project?

Students will connect directly with the employer remotely for mentorship and supervision throughout the project. Project mentorship will be established at the beginning of the project in terms of how often we will meet to review the status of the deliverables.

We will hold an introductory meeting so you chat with us and ask any questions, discuss project deliverables, expectations and timelines. Mentors will always be available via email or phone to answer any questions.

The start and stop dates are flexible and will be determined in conjunction with the successful applicant.
