Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Activities are an important aspect of the well-being of seniors. During this challenging time, the human connection is of utmost importance for mental wellbeing as well. Now is the time to rethink the traditional programs offered to seniors in a retirement home and leverage technology and/or promote connectedness through creative initiatives. We are currently looking to work with students- Recreation Studies/Social Service Worker/Social Worker or in Kinesiology (physical activity perspective) - to research and provide recommendations for recreational activities and exercises that will help improve the experience for seniors. We would like students to be innovative and research new methodologies that we may not have previously considered, to research global initiatives that are interesting and unique. Opportunity for students to learn more about the healthcare industry and in particular working with seniors.
