critical reflection cooperation process mapping goal setting curriculum developmentIt has been five years since the curriculum for the work experience courses in the Co-operative Education stream was designed. In order to support a curriculum review, this project will focus on assessing the current course structure and creating a process map of how the topics are developed across the four courses. This will include analyzing how the current material and assessments align with the two areas of development focus in that curriculum design: goal setting and critical reflection.
I will provide the student access to the course material currently being used and work closely with them to create the process map.
About the company
The Co-operative Education Stream is an educational option available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce Program at MacEwan University. Co-operative Education(Co-op) began at MacEwan Unviersity as a mandatory program requirement for the Supply Chain Management Co-op Major. In Fall 2017, Co-op became an optional offering available to students from all Bachelor of Commerce Majors. In the Co-op stream students complete four courses: a pre-employment seminar (COOP 290) which focuses on career development, job search, and preparation for work experience. The other three courses are three four-month work experience courses.
