Exciting opportunity for a remote Software Developer candidate looking to pursue a career in AI and Cybersecurity industry with a high-growth startup based in Toronto.
F8th developed an innovative technology that offers extra capacity to cybersecurity systems using machine learning and behavioral biometric analysis.

Responsibilities
Write excellent code following industry best practices, participate in code review and perform extensive testing to ensure high quality deliverable with appropriate documentation.
The ideal candidate has a natural curiosity about technology and software development, and has a constant desire to learn about new technologies. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills that has the ability to succeed in a results driven environment
Strong knowledge of JS(Node/Vue.Js) is a MUST and HTML/CSS are important skills.
Experience
- General understanding and knowledge of front-end development
- Proficiency using modern web development technologies and techniques, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Responsive Design, web services, etc.
- Foundation in Javascript
- Design skills, including active prototyping a plus
- You have strong communication skills - explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers is easy for you
- You have a desire to continuously learn and develop your skills
- You're hands on and like to be involved in all areas of a company
- You are a team player - you are always willing to lend a helping hand
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced, growing environment
- You are not complacent and you want an opportunity to grow and continue to develop your skills
Maximum 16 weeks $16/hours ASAP with possibility of a permanent position with competitive salary and stock option when graduated or selected for full-time position.
You must meet the eligibility below for the job position and for the WIL Digital Subsidy Program:
- Currently enrolled in a program at University/College
- Have the legal right to work in Canada
- Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada
**** Temporary visas, work permits are not eligible. - Not receiving employment insurance (EI) benefits during the internship
- Have never completed a digital skills internship offered within the Career Focus program (we will verify this for you)

F8th’s behavioural biometric analysis (BBA) works by analyzing mouse, keyboard and touchscreen movements to discern the unique identity of the user. Unlike conventional two-step authentication systems, F8th uses artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning to analyze 100s of these inputs in real time to identify an authorized user vs a fraudster. Moreover, F8th passively protects the customer and corporate data by continuously authenticating users through their human behaviors. Unlike every other tracker, F8th uses data that websites need to provide services, hence it is not impacted by browser tracker blockers, and is completely compliant with the new data privacy regulations.
