What is the main goal for this project?

To develop the Recreation Co-op into a thriving community hub for recreational activities, focusing on user engagement and diverse activity offerings.


 Expected Outcome:   

A revitalized Recreation Co-op that serves as a key community resource, offering a wide range of activities that cater to diverse interests.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

1. Activity Review: Analyze current activity offerings and participant feedback to identify popular and underrepresented activities.

2. Partnership Opportunities: Establish partnerships with local sports and recreation organizations to diversify offerings.

3. Membership Model Development: Develop and test different membership models to increase participation and revenue.

4. Event Planning: Organize signature events that can serve as major draws for the community.

5. Outreach Programs: Initiate outreach programs to increase participation among different demographic groups.


How will you support learners in completing the project?

students will have access to:

  • A dedicated slack channel with access to Organization staff as needed,

  • Access to user testing groups


In addition students will have weekly meetings with staff
