Details

Food4Relief aims to enhance its online presence and engage more effectively with its audience through a structured social media strategy. The organization currently lacks a cohesive plan for its social media posts, which limits its ability to connect with supporters and promote its mission effectively. The goal of this project is to develop a basic social media content calendar that aligns with Food4Relief's objectives and resonates with its target audience. By organizing content in advance, the organization can ensure consistent messaging, timely posts, and increased engagement across platforms. This project will provide learners with the opportunity to apply their knowledge of digital marketing, content creation, and strategic planning in a real-world context, while also contributing to a meaningful cause.

Deliverables

The primary deliverable for this project is a comprehensive social media content calendar for Food4Relief, covering a period of three months. The calendar should include scheduled posts, content themes, and suggested multimedia elements for each platform. Additionally, a brief report outlining the rationale behind the chosen content strategy and any recommendations for future social media initiatives should be provided. This deliverable will demonstrate the learners' ability to plan and organize social media content effectively.

FoodForRelief is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing food waste and tackling food insecurity in Ottawa. We connect grocery stores, caterers, and businesses with food banks and charitable organizations, ensuring that surplus food is redistributed to those in need rather than going to waste. By fostering strong community partnerships, we aim to create a sustainable and efficient food rescue system that benefits both the environment and vulnerable populations.
