What is the main goal for this project?

We’d like the best and brightest students to research opportunities for RacerX Marketplace in the area of marketing insights for our eCommerce marketplace serving the motorsports industry.

Your insights will help us analyze our potential to leverage marketing insights to identify and draw helpful insights.

From this analysis, we hope to not only improve our processes and understanding of international marketing of commerce marketplace biz model; but also implement and test solutions created from your insights that will greatly enhance our marketing strategy. These insights will be directly related to business outcomes. This project is one that will allow students real time experience in live market situations.

Here are some of the topics we’d like students to explore throughout this project:

  • Learn eCommerce marketplace marketing and how it applies to our initiative.
  • Improve marketing systemization and risk selection
  • Identify trends and potential predictive marketing strategies
  • Develop more sophisticated product marketing methodologies, templates, reporting models based on your findings
  • Marketing strategy review: Providing recommendations on what methods we can use to leverage and improve our marketing strategy, based on our organization's budget and current marketing strategy.
  • Marketing Mix strategy: Providing insight and recommending sustainable strategies related to the Marketing Mix (Product, Place, Price and Promotion).
  • Social Media: An analysis of how to leverage social media channels to reach different customer groups
  • Conduct external analysis (including customer, competitor, market and environment) as well as marketing mix performance.
  • Developing an integrated online/offline communication strategy with pop-up stores, outdoor display ads, and more.
